I agree,but this distinction MUST be pointed out occasionally because otherwise we lose because we sound like a bunch of racists and end up alienating people who should be our natural allies.

The subject of this thread was the negative sociological effects of runaway immigration and the only way to not 'sound like a racist' while discussing this issue in today's environment is to mindlessly chant slogans with the international socialists in unison.

Laura really stated from what I read what is largely just fact.
Even the US Catholic Bishops spoke about, if people come here, our traditions etc. need to be respected. If you bring in big shifts in the demographics over a short time span, you really do mess with that balance.

She did mean whites will be diluted, become a minority race, and Latinos will be the majority.  Illegal immigration is the crux of the problem.  They come here at ages that have children and they have more of them than whites.  Math shows they will become the majority.  I don't think we can stop that happening.

You mentioned Catholic Bishops.  Our Fort Worth Catholic Diocese gets federal money to take in illegals, house them, get them federal healthcare, give them money, and find jobs for them.  They do this because most Spanish illegals are Catholics.  When Trump became president and ICE started sending back illegals, our Diocese Bishop had a page passed out in every Catholic church in the Diocese, telling us to resist the Trump mandate and help illegals stay here.  I could not believe this Catholic Bishop was telling us to break the law.  So, Catholic Dioceses are using federal money to keep illegals here.  That federal money needs to stop.

I think there was a crime committed by a foreigner, I forget the nationality, may have been from Africa but he was settled here by one of the Christian "resettlement" types of organizations and the talk was whether, they could bear some responsibility for bringing these people here. Perhaps they should actually.

It was last year the Bishop sent the letter to all in those Catholic churches in that Diocese.  That letter actually had Trump's name in it as the cause of the illegals in our churches being afraid they were going to be sent back.  I don't have much respect for that Bishop telling us to break the law.

It's "cynical."  I claim no special knowledge here.  I "came of age" when Nixon was president, and I was "trust nobody" ever since.  I didn't trust him, and I didn't trust the reporters either.

Only squirrels look to squirrels for role models. I have known and been friends with MANY very competent and  honorable black men when I was in the army.

All White America has already become diluted and that's okay ... over a long period of time.

We especially see it in Blacks, very few of whom are Black anymore.  More of them are light to dark brown.  Don't know where Hollywood found that guy in Get Out.  He was really Black.  As an old friend who wasn't particularly culturally sensitive used to say 'straight off the boat.'

Hispanics will inevitably mix in as well. 

It will be okay if we don't have a mass influx of illegals.  Legal immigrants from Mexico usually fit in nicely.
