McDonald’s Nixes Salads; Nearly 400 Now Sickened

Aug. 3, 2018 UPDATE: The CDC has again revised its number of people who have been contaminated from salads at McDonald's to nearly 400. As of noon on Thursday, the number of confirmed cases stands at 394. And the number could go up. The agency says on its website that "Illnesses that began after June 21, 2018 might not have been reported yet due to the time it takes between when a person becomes ill and when the illness is reported."
July 26, 2018 UPDATE: The number of people who have fallen ill from contamination tied to salads at fast-food giant McDonald's has grown to 286, the FDA reported Thursday.
The agency said the cases now spread across 15 states and that 11 people have been hospitalized.
