Cory Booker laments 'savagely wrong' state of American culture

Sen. Cory Booker implored an audience in New Orleans on Friday to combat the “savagely wrong” state of American culture by thinking about the importance of a “civic gospel.”

The New Jersey senator who said he once cried “tears of rage” over the Trump administration’s rhetoric told political allies that they must reject the “normalcy of injustice” that permeates modern America. He told the room of activists that he wants them to rise to the “higher ground of activism of engagement of love.”

“I’m a big believer that if America, if this country hasn’t broken your heart, then you don’t love her enough. Because there’s things that are savagely wrong in this country. There’s a normalcy of injustice that we’ve accepted,” Mr. Booker said while discussing Hassan Washington, a city councilman who was shot as a teenager.

“Newark has gifted me a wisdom that can only come from wounds, a sense of purpose that can only come from shared pain,” the New Jersey Democrat continued. “It’s a city that at times where my heart has been broken but I’ve learned that the heart is this interesting organ that, it’s the only one that really works even if it’s gotten broken.”

Senator Cory Booker, who is one of the Democrats contending for his party's 2020 nomination for president, is pleading political negligence, claiming that he didn't bother to read a sign that he allowed himself to be photographed holding.  Booker, who has raised considerable money from pro-Israel Jewish groups, apparently got carried away with intersectional enthusiasm at the Netroots Nation confab and was unable to get a clue from the t-shirt on the woman standing next to him that proclaimed Palestine's virtue in the realm of "feminist/queer refugee racial justice" that he might be endorsing a radical point of view.

The professionally printed sign reads, "From Palestine to Mexico all the walls have got to go."

As Aaron Bandler points out at Jewish Journal, that slogan was crafted by the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, and "standing next to Booker on his left is Leah Muskin-Pirret, the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights' government associate."

Cory Booker once had a chance to be the new face of the democrat party.  He is good looking and fairly articulate..

But he fell prey to the radical leftist wing of the party (which has actually become most of the party).
