Rasmussen's daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday showed a significant spike in support from the black community, nearly doubling President Trump's support among that demographic from this time last year.

Trump hit a 29% approval rating among blacks, up from just 15% in August of 2017.

I don't hold much stock in polls, but Trump has been proclaiming that black unemployment is right now the lowest in history.  With that being said and if true, I would have no doubt that the black community would support Trump.  Just my opinion, here, but all the more reason for the DEMS to push for Holder to run in 2020.

Perhaps the better question is ... are they even registered?  This seems to be where the DEMS in the past tend to out maneuver the GOP ... the DEMS go out and get their targeted people registered at churches and go door to door in targeted neighborhoods getting people registered.  They seem to have a better ground game.

Nope ... I can't see myself going into various different select neighborhoods and getting people registered, nor waltzing into one of the churches and getting people registered.

If this figure reported in Rasmussen’s daily presidential tracking poll Friday is anywhere close to accurate, Democrats are closing in on a crisis. While to poll results available to the general public reported on the Rasmussen Reports website do not contain the racial breakdown (Rasmussen pays its bills by selling detailed breakdowns of its polling results to political pros), so notable was the figure that Rasmussen tweeted out a notice:

Given the booming economy, many African-Americans are experiencing opportunities for employment the likes of which were completely unavailable during the eight years of America’s First Black President. Opportunity is calling, and many people of any race who previously despaired of bettering themselves through work are finding out that a rising tide does indeed lift all boats.

With approval nearing one third of American blacks, it is no longer viable for Democrats to insist that Trump is such a vile racist that any favorable views of him should be censured by all right-thinking African-Americans.

Blacks are as rational as everyone else.   Job and career opportunities are what uplift the race.   And no one faces more direct competition from illegal aliens than African - Americans.

Let me toss out an anecdote relating to Hispanic support. My boss and another Canine officer on my team are "old Mexican immigrants"...as in their families moved to Arizona prior to statehood. Their view on immigration is more hardcore than my own, wanting absolutely ZERO tolerance for illegals and being strong advocates for Trump and the wall. This, I've noticed, is common amongst immigrant families here in AZ who came here legally more than a century ago and who are now productive members of society...still proud of their heritage and Spanish speaking but DAMN proud to be American and not Mexican.

My point here, is that while the Left and media strive so mightily to break us into interest groups along racial/ethnic lines...the truth is far more complex. Many hispanics and their families have long been integrated into our nation, a high percentage have served in the military and are now war vets, and these folks are adamantly opposed to illegal immigration...though they do tend to be a bit more sympathetic to DACA (as am I, to be honest). If we can follow Trump's path to deal fairly with the DACA issue, perhaps allowing full residency but not citizenship in exchange for the wall and stronger border security...the GOP will cement a good chunk of the Hispanic vote for the next few decades.

There is a path to electoral success that includes a wall AND some leniency for DACA kids...and Trump is pushing for it...and is right to fight against the medias continual effort to Balkanize the nation along lines of ethnicity. His support amongst minorities is growing and THAT is the true reason the Left (and thus the media) are becoming frantic in their shouts of "Nazi" and "Racist" and "Bigot"...because they understand that the more Trump's policies become known to minority voters, the more they will shift from the Dem plantation towards a more centrist/conservative voting stance. If that happens, the entire Dem coalition collapses and they are left with little more than a core of angry, white, Socialists ranting about free health care, free college, free salaries and free homes for everyone.

I also think Democrats in general, many independents as well, can accept flawed individuals as leaders, look at MLK and JFK for example.  Even unfortunately, Bill Clinton. Then, when it is a conservative, it seems some require perfection.

Lest we forget, Pres. GHW Bush had an approval rating of 90% less than 18 months prior to the 1992 election.

Yes they are the most affected by illegal immigration and neither party wants to end it.  They can vote for Trump like the rest of the people wanting border security and the end to DACA.  Until the President actually does something they are out of luck.  He is the only one that can use the power of the pen and not sign any more legislation until the illegal immigration problem is solved.
