Bernie's Right—America Should Be More Like Sweden
« on: August 01, 2018, 04:49:21 pm »
"Being more like modern Sweden actually means deregulation, free trade, a national school voucher system, partially privatized pensions, no property tax, no inheritance tax, and much lower corporate taxes."

Quote
Bernie Sanders thinks the U.S. should look to Sweden and other Scandinavian countries to "learn what they have accomplished for their working people." The Vermont senator has said so repeatedly throughout his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, prompting GOP rival Marco Rubio to say, "I think Bernie Sanders is a good candidate for president—of Sweden.".....

People look at Scandinavian countries as socialist success stories, but they have actually moved toward being more capitalistic and freer than America is.

So yes, Bernie IS right, but, of course, he doesn't know what he's talking about, so he's still actually wrong.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Sweden Bernie.  Really.

When a nation that used to value freedom, democracy, and the rule of law is willing to throw all that away because of the mistaken notion that it must effectively open its borders to anyone and everyone, and embrace misguided multi-cultural policies to the max, that nation is headed to oblivion real fast.

You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

The US, Canada and Sweden are "Mixed Economies"

Government spending in both the US and in Canada measures about 42% of GDP, versus 51% in Sweden.

I wish I could find it but years ago, I wrote a paper comparing how to start a small business in the US with Communist China. It was very eye opening that in the land of the free, how many hoops one has to jump through with the government to start a business compared to in China.

Bernie wants us to be more like Sweden.

Of course he does:

Sweden has already been conquered due to Socialists running their government and society.

Bernie wants the same here.

Even with the recent influx of invaders, Sweden is still for the most part, a homogenous country.

The dynamics are completely different in a homogenous country than it would be in an ethnically diverse country, such as ours'.

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Podcaster-Youtuber Stefan Molyneux has prepared a very startling segment on migrant into Sweden.

Not any more.  Native Swedes have a negative birthrate replacement rate, the Muslim invaders the ones who have wives, are outbreeding them 16-1.

Then there's this:

Islam, Immigration, and the Death of Sweden

Though we have no room to sit comfortably either.  Our native birthright is less than the minimum replacement threshold of 2.11 kids per family - and we are also being outbred.

What Bernie means is that we should have a welfare state. Comparing a welfare state that has a few million people is a lot different than ours  with a much larger population.  However, Sweden  found that you can become overly generous with the welfare state

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t part of Sweden’s healthcare euthanasia? And Sweden has had to privatize a lot of it’s economy since the 1990’s

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Bernie is a noisy crank and ignorant doofus.
The only Swede we should ever consider
emulating is Gustavus Adolphus of the 17th century.
