Iran's special forces chief warns Trump: "If you begin the war, we will end it": Tasnim
By Parisa Hafezi

ANKARA (Reuters) - A powerful commander of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards said on Thursday Donald Trump should address any threats against Tehran directly to him, and mocked the U.S. president as using the language of "night clubs and gambling halls".

The comments by Major-General Qassem Soleimani, who heads the Quds Force of the Guards, were the latest salvo in a war of words between the two countries.

"As a soldier, it is my duty to respond to your threats ... If you wants to use the language of threat ... talk to me, not to the president (Hassan Rouhani). It is not in our president's dignity to respond to you," Soleimani was quoted as saying by Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency.

Personally, no, I don't appreciate the rhetoric from either side.

I'm pretty sure we can put a boot in the Quds ass.

Hey Qassem..... the world can always use another glass parking lot.

they have it exactly backwards.

Iran started the war when it entered sovereign US soil at our embassy in 1979.  Our ineffective President refused to fight.

We will now, and for Iran it will not end well.

No punishment, in my opinion, is too great, for the man who can build his greatness upon his country's ruin~  George Washington

They can't go toe-to-toe with us, but it won't be the cakewalk everyone pretends it will be.  Along with their main forces, they have millions of Basij, loyal Shiite militias all over Iraq, along with Hezbollah forces in Syria and Lebanon.  On top of that, our relations with Turkey are strained.  They have already said they'd defy oil sanctions.  Who knows what Erdogan would do.  It'd get really ugly really fast.

There would likely be domestic terror, as well.  In 2011, they had plotted to kill the Saudi ambassador at a restaurant, then bomb the Saudi and Israeli embassies.  More than likely, they have people here with orders to carry out various tasks, should a conflict occur.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Not if they're gonna use good ol' human wave tactics again.

In your face state sanctioned terrorist activity is a sure fire way to get your country totally destroyed.

It is one thing not to be sure of the source of a bombing. It is entirely another to know the source and that source be an identifiable government.

That government would cease to exist on short order. Very stupid Iranian "special forces chief".
