U.S. Senate GOP candidates sound off about immigration

    Kenosha news staff Jul 22, 2018 (3)

Editor’s note: The Kenosha News asked Republican candidates for U.S. Senate in their contested primary race a series of questions. Their answers will run through Wednesday.

Kevin Nicholson (R): “Professional politicians like Tammy Baldwin have been duplicitous — at best — when it comes to their treatment of our nation’s immigration policy. Democrat politicians have enabled illegal immigration because they seek to take advantage of illegal immigrants for cheap labor and cheap votes.

“This is an unacceptable and unsustainable approach that not only puts the safety of Americans at risk, but also shows a complete disregard for our nation’s laws, human dignity and the importance of citizenship. The American people have made it clear: They are not anti-immigrant, but they are fully opposed to a system abused and taken advantage of by those who do not respect our laws or our borders.
