What we are going to find here is that our very own intelligence agencies did the hacking of the DNC servers and tried their damnedest to make it look as though the Russians did it!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

What the idiot left Democrats don't want the public to know (we already do know).... is that their incompetence and complete disregard for security (at all levels of the Obama administration) is what got the DNC hacked...whereas the GOP took adequate precautions.  The Democrats are too stupid and too arrogant to admit they screwed up though.  Much easier to blame it on Russia.

So Obama hacked the DNC servers to undermine the DNC for Trump?

Didn't we already have the famous Russian hacker/GRU Op, Gruccifier 2 admit to taking part in this?

Poor Russia, so unfairly maligned.  This particular apology tour is justified.

That's sarcasm.  Right?  (It's getting harder and harder to tell these days...lol)

I'm afraid Lindsey Graham has it right with this tweet:

Quote
Missed opportunity by President Trump to firmly hold Russia accountable for 2016 meddling and deliver a strong warning regarding future elections.

This answer by President Trump will be seen by Russia as a sign of weakness and create far more problems than it solves.

No problema, Lil Lindsey.  I'm quite sure that Trump's harsh condemnation of Putin tweet will be forthcoming in just a few.  Patience, Grasshopper!

Obama couldn't hack a potato chip!  But his butt boy John Brennan had plenty of people under his command who could have and IMHO probably did!

You don't understand how Trump's mind works - he raves and rants and accuses and downgrades individuals calling them ridiculous names,, but when he gets with that person face to face, he flounders because he knows he is weak inside.  He cannot do face to face confrontation.  I knew he would bow to Putin, he is scared to death of Putin whom he sees as a daunting power.  Putin will always dominate Trump because Trump has no confidence in himself and never has; his behavior shows that every day in his ridiculous tweets.  Now, Trump people  on this thread will have a fit but the true Trump has been shown today.

A US official directly involved with Helsinki summit sums it up like this: “This was not the plan.”

While it was widely expected from planning conversations that President Trump wouldn’t change tactics here in Helsinki and aggressively confront Putin on election interference, the hope and plan was that he would do what he has done before: pivot.

But he doubled down instead, which again “was not the plan”

Progress has been made on one front.  At least Trump is no longer referring to hacking as problems with ‘the cyber’ anymore.

I honestly do think that his bluster deflates when he’s around Putin.

There was quite a bit of chain rattling from John McCain’s ghost today.....

"Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate. But it is clear that the summit in Helsinki was a tragic mistake. President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world. It is tempting to describe the press conference as a pathetic rout – as an illustration of the perils of under-preparation and inexperience. But these were not the errant tweets of a novice politician. These were the deliberate choices of a president who seems determined to realize his delusions of a warm relationship with Putin’s regime without any regard for the true nature of his rule, his violent disregard for the sovereignty of his neighbors, his complicity in the slaughter of the Syrian people, his violation of international treaties, and his assault on democratic institutions throughout the world. Coming close on the heels of President Trump’s bombastic and erratic conduct towards our closest friends and allies in Brussels and Britain, today’s press conference marks a recent low point in the history of the American Presidency. That the president was attended in Helsinki by a team of competent and patriotic advisors makes his blunders and capitulations all the more painful and inexplicable. No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant. Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed. Americans are waiting and hoping for President Trump to embrace that sacred responsibility. One can only hope they are not waiting totally in vain.”

"bow to Putin" - figure of speech meaning giving deference to Putin above himself.

Thank you for your opinion but it was just that.
The Fake News tantrum tells me that the tantrum was planned long before Trump got to Helsinki. I have yet to read anything that would lead one to believe that Russian got anything from Trump.

What did Putin get?

A presidential pardon.

“My people came to me, [Director of National Intelligence] Dan Coats came to me and some others saying they think it's Russia. I have President Putin, he just said it’s not Russia,” Trump said. “I will say this, I don’t see any reason why it would be.”

@Weird Tolkienish Figure

Pretty much, but notice it isn't getting much traction.

Similarly at TOS, someone wanted to know why there was no discussion of it.
