White House: We canceled Bolton’s interview with CNN after network's Acosta 'disrespected' Trump

Quote
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Saturday that the White House decided to cancel an interview between CNN and national security adviser John Bolton after a CNN reporter “disrespected” President Trump earlier this week.

CNN’s “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper on Saturday tweeted that the White House intervened and canceled a scheduled interview with Bolton who “remains fully prepared to do the interview” on Sunday.

“Actually a @CNN reporter disrespected @POTUS & PM May during their press conference,” Sanders tweeted in response. “Instead of rewarding bad behavior, we decided to reprioritize the TV appearances for administration officials.”

CNN is why he still has such a problem with the AT&T and Time Warner merger.  Similarly, his beef with Amazon is over Bezos owing WaPo.

It's all so childish.  Notice that Trump skipped over Acosta to take a question from John Roberts at Fox because Fox fawns all over Trump.  If a media outlet doesn't worship Trump and pronounce him as the Second Coming, it is branded as "fake news"

Then we have CNN upset that Roberts did not come to Acosta's immediate defense at the presser.  Sometimes I wonder who is more childish -- Trump or the media and anyone else he has a beef with.  About the only one behaving with a sliver of maturity in this reality tv show is Bezos who has defended his companies without getting into a pissing match with Trump.

Roberts did issue a statement in defense of CNN and read the statement in the air:

A few hours later, Roberts issued a statement saying, “I used to work at CNN. There are some fine journalists who work there and risk their lives to report on stories around the world. To issue a blanket condemnation of the network as 'fake news' is also unfair.”

Roberts also read his statement on air

Yes, but  Roberts was criticized for not defending Acosta right then at the presser.     *****rollingeyes*****
