I posted that as an example of what's going on all over this country today and I have to tell you that I'm enjoying the hell out it.  The left is busily burning itself to the ground and you are here pissing and moaning about one of the reasons for it.

One of the joys of living in America.  Freedom of thought and expression.  Instead of blind allegiance.

There is nothing wrong and in fact it's rather quite healthy to have a debate over a candidate our President picks.

Being happy with the pick just because it pisses off the Liberals is a very shallow reason for people to support the nominee.

I miss the days when have issues with a nominee or a candidate and debating them was a good thing.

This whole Liberal-esque smile and nod because "our guy picked him" crap isn't my cup of tea.

You're assuming it's moved to the right when there is no evidence that it has or will.

Right now you're merely speculating.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer here.... but....

I really don't think we're going to get anything indicating "conservatism" from now on.  I think the best we may expect is a halt (temporarily, at least) to that hurtling towards radical leftism ride we were on during the past administration.  And even then, know that the radical left is working, 24/7... behind the scenes, to return us to that ride to hell.

So I shall be grateful for what we do have now.... until we no longer have it.

I do not think it's a 'halt' at all.  You have to remember that most of Obama's agenda was implemented with the complicit help of the GOP and it's leadership - moreso in his second term than the first.  At best we are not over the cliff in freefall to Communism -but all we have done is to jump onto a bigger truck from NYC and are heading towards the same edge of the cliff, while calling ourselves saved.  Everything is still moving Left and Socialist, only now we are calling Liberalism 'Conservative' and what once evoked outrage when the Left commits outrage is to excuse it when 'our guy' does virtually the same thing.
