BORIS Johnson has described Theresa May’s Brexit plan as “an absolute stinker†and has warned it will turn off voters despite standing united with Cabinet ministers to back the proposals at Chequers.

But the Foreign Secretary told the Prime Minister she would struggle to convince concerned Brexit supporters that her proposals stack up to what they voted for in June 2016.
Insiders say he used colourful language to describe Mrs May’s proposals during a marathon Brexit session at Chequers last Friday although he did eventually get behind her blueprint for a soft Brexit.
Cabinet sources say he told the Prime Minister: “Anyone defending the proposal we have just agreed will find it like trying to polish a turd.
