Top GOP fundraiser Elliott Broidy will reportedly stop making payments to an ex-mistress who signed a hush-money agreement that was orchestrated by Michael Cohen, President Trump's former personal lawyer.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that Broidy, a venture capitalist who stepped down from his post at the Republican National Committee (RNC) in April, agreed to pay former Playboy model Shera Bechard $1.6 million.
Broidy was prepared to make payments in eight different installments starting in late 2017. The Journal reported in April that those payments to Bechard were made so she would remain silent about their affair. Bechard has said she became pregnant during the affair with Broidy, which lasted more than a year.
