2018 Texas Special Election Results, June 30, 2018
« on: July 01, 2018, 01:28:26 am »
Voters in a South Texas congressional district are going to the polls in a special election to replace former GOP Rep. Blake Farenthold, who resigned in April amid an ethics investigation into sexual harassment. If no candidate wins a majority in the all-party special election — which includes Republican Michael Cloud and Democrat Eric Holguin, both of whom have already won their respective party’s nomination in the November general election — then a runoff will be held sometime in September. The district leans Republican; President Donald Trump carried it by a more-than-25-point margin in 2016.
