Plenty of good reasons to expect the Left to fight, and possible GOP trouble from "moderates," as well

1. Pay back for delays leading to Gorsuch

2. All other, including delay until 2021

If you really REALLY want to make Liberals heads 'splode and reveal them for the hypocrites that they are...someone should talk Trump into convincing Janice Rogers Brown into taking the nomination.

Anyone who Barack Obama went to the floor of the senate and characterized her judicial activism as, "Social Darwinism" is exactly what we need on the court.

Nice evil thought.... but she's already about 70 and probably deemed too old.  I suspect Trump will nominate a 'younger' female.... either Sykes or Eid.  But time will tell.

Ok lets go younger...Priscilla Owen and/or Bill Pryor.  Now is the time to solidify the Conservative nature of the SCOTUS and make sure we have some people on there who don't view the Constitution as a "living document".

Cruz has enemies in the Senate who would screw him over at a moment's notice.  It really needs to be an active judge, guarded with his social commentary, and well qualified according to the ABA.  Give the libs nothing to work with, and let them makes fools of themselves prior to the election.

If you are the Democrats:

The temptation would be to wait for confirmation until after the midterms. However, that would make the midterms about "Who do you want as a Supreme Court judge?" which might hurt the Democrats. But they can throw endless amounts of money into key Senate races and perhaps make a good showing. Imagine all the commercials with little girls bleeding to death after banging around their cervix with coat hangers.
