Not trying to be the contrarian, but what in the provided pictures above indicates that the "guards" were armed?

Were their weapons visible?

It's New York City. One would have to meet fairly strict criteria to be an armed bodyguard there, and be "within the law".

I think it was pretty much determined by how the men and women with him looked,and how they were dressed. Most armed bodyguards in NYC are NYPD cops or retired NYPD cops because those are pretty much the only people that can get CCW permits there.

Which is one reason the NYPD doesn't want to see anyone else issued permits. Off duty cops there more than double their pay by working part time as armed guards.

Is this idiot claiming his armed security are carrying stolen or rented weapons?

I know if I ever had to hire a bodyguard,I would MUCH prefer one that rents or steals his weapons and is thoroughly unfamiliar with them.

ALMOST as unfamiliar as Hogg is with the Second Amendment.
