Gunman dead after 2 cops shot in San Diego standoff; 1 officer reported clinging to life

Two San Diego police officers were shot Saturday evening after a gunman wearing body armor barricaded himself in an apartment and fired through the walls.

One of the officers is reportedly hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after taking a gunshot wound to the chest. The other officer was hit in the shoulder but is expected to be OK, reported Andrew Lumia of FOX 5 San Diego.

After a standoff of about two hours, the suspect was pronounced dead just before 1 a.m. Sunday local time, after police sent in a robot and a police dog to check the apartment, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Where are all the demonstrations in support of these 2 officers who were shot?  In Pittsburgh, there was another night of protests over that punk who was shot.  Even local officials participated (yes, they are Democrats).  Where are they when a member of law enforcement is killed?

The police must be working for some mysterious force and not those officials.

These local officials are marching in demonstrations over an incident where we still don't have all the facts.  At the very least, it is believed the deceased was at least present for an earlier shooting.  Rumors say there was a spent clip on his person when he was shot.  This is not a hero.  This is not a good, innocent kid.  He chose to associate with thugs and even participate in their violent activities.

But we are having marches and protests over his death.   Do you think there will be the same outrage over officers shot in San Diego?  (CRICKETS)

@Applewood  Since the shooting of the teen who was running from police (with an empty/expended magazine in his pocket), there have been several black-on-black shootings in our area. No marching for those victims, needless to say.

I like the way they train the dog.

Authorities then sent in the dog, which bit the suspect on the leg but received no response.
