Inciting insurrection has to be a chargeable offense does it not?

Or are we already headlong into our own version of The Roman Republican Wars and we do not realize it yet?

Taking in just about everything I'm reading the last couple days, I think things are beginning to rapidly come apart in terms of any semblance of a united country.

Not a fan of Gateway Pundit - but I dislike The Hill more.

Quote
John Brennan, in Ominous Tweet to Pres. Trump, Calls for Insurrection by Cabinet, GOP Leadership

Former Obama CIA Director John Brennan responded to a tweet by President Donald Trump on Saturday decrying the ‘Russia withc hunt’ investigation with an ominous tweet calling for Trump’s cabinet and inner circle to turn on him. While Brennan stopped short of explicitly calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment, impeachment or an outright coup to remove Trump from office, his language strongly implies such actions.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

I think he's making an oblique reference to the 25th Amendment.  The lefties have been jabbering about this since it became obvious there's no provision in the Constitution that allows them to undo the election and install Hillary.

The nation seems damaged but not by Trump. Brennan seems to be nuts.

Yo John.  Traitor.  Yeah you.  If this is "damage" I love the way it is looking.

I think we can safely say that GONE are the days of the peaceful transition of power.

Safer to say that you are wishing for this.

I find it interesting, and hypocritical, the commiecrats are always gnashing their teeth, crying, and accusing republicans of "disenfranchising" voters but that is EXACTLY what they have been doing for the past 1 1/2 years in bashing Trump.  It seems, however, the people they are "disenfranchising" the most are their own voters.  I'm certain Imam Brennan has chased more than a few away from the political party. 9999hair out0000

I tend to agree.  IF the GOP is indeed able to hold on to their seats in the mid-terms, 2020 is going to be interesting and I wouldn't count on a peaceful attempt to Trump's re-election.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

No longer any doubt that government actors, perhaps as high up as Obama, acting out of partisanship, colluded to use illegal means to subvert the election of Donald Trump and failing that, to damage his administration.

Soft coup, anyone?

That's a really idiotic/asinine thing to say.   Making an observation based on pure logic re: what's going on and what has already gone on.... isn't 'wishing' for chaos.  Get a clue, find your hinge.

The radical (idiot) left is desperate.  Expect them to come up with anything in their desperation, to prevent Trump's 2nd term.

Oh, but don't you remember how they attempted to disenfranchise military voters during the 2000 election fiasco?  And they have done the same thing since then.  They have NO problem disenfranchising anyone that might not be voting for their guys.  Also recall the voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party, which they got away with.  It's that same double standard of "justice" we'll keep seeing unless or until the swamp is truly drained, fumigated and bulldozed over.

Brennan converted to Islam in Saudi, iirc. such holdovers from the Kenyan cryptomuslim regime must hear the hounds barking down the path, getting closer.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Lest you forget, we are Americans first. We want what's best for America--we live here, have our roots here, have often served this country in one way or another--and the lack of rational discussion of issues, even among those who claim to be "conservative" is not a good sign at all for the future of this country. Next time you want to stir the pot, I have a recommendation where you can put the stick into ample crap.

You're welcome. I prefer to state sentiments in a way that the MODs can sleep in or go to church or whatever. Making unsubstantiated claims that anyone would want banana republic style transitions of power in the US is a little over the line, ya think?

Thank you for that rational discourse.

It's far more rational than the personal attack against @INVAR he was quoting.  I've known  you for quite a while and I thought you're better than that.

Fundamental change has indeed come to America.  A whole generation is growing up believing this is how government conflict is handled.  A whole generation believes our borders should be open.  The majority of a generation believes guns should be confiscated.  An entire generation is untethered from the US Constitution.

Fully agree. And to the extent it  worked, it is "mission accomplished."

And ask this: "How many "Republicans" support it as well (while talking out of both sides of their mouths of course) Collins, McCain, Flake, and likely Romney, plus plenty more.

"God must love the common man, he made so many of them.  Abe Lincoln

I think it's time we start compiling and diagramming these "Brennan Tweets."  We're starting to see a pattern, and, I've always said, that pattern is looking like Iranian Imam speeches compressed to 140 characters.

1)  The Target (always President Trump) can tell the world is caving in on you, personally.
2)  There is hope!
3)  Addresses the Agents of Hope.
4)  Lists what those Agents need to do.
5)  Everything in the country will collapse if the Agents fail.

1)  "Your fear of exposure is palpable. Your desperation even more so."
2) and 3)  "When will those of conscience among your Cabinet, inner circle, and Republican leadership"
4)  "realize that your unprincipled and unethical behavior as well as your incompetence"
5)  "are seriously damaging our Nation."
