Gallup Poll: 62% of Americans Believe Their News Is Biased

(CNSNews.com)—In a recent follow-up survey about American views, Gallup and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation [1] reported that Americans believe that 62 percent of “the news they read in newspapers, see on television or hear on the radio is biased.”

Through a web survey of 1,440 U.S. adults, Gallup wanted to find out how much “problematic information” people find via T.V., newspapers, radio, and social media.

I'm sure a good number of the 38% believe the news is slanted to the right.

Which makes them worse than brain dead.

Trumps throwing the "Fake News" is starting to stick.  It is brilliant.

If that's the only contribution from the Trump Presidency,  it was well worth it, for that alone.

Here are some data from the actual poll results and the link to the Gallop poll data is below:

Quote
Overall, U.S. adults estimate that 62% of the news they read in newspapers, see on television or hear on the radio is biased. They think the news media mostly provide accurate information, but still estimate that 44% of what they see is inaccurate. And they believe that more than a third of the news they see in these channels is misinformation -- false or inaccurate information that is presented as if it were true.

Americans are even more critical of the news they see on social media. They believe 80% of it is biased, 64% is inaccurate and 65% is misinformation.

I'd like to see the demographics on that poll.

It would be interesting to see which ethnic/racial group was "the most distrusting", etc.
