Oh brother!
Yep! Sad, but it's politics. Republicans are terrified ... maybe with reason ... that this media hysteria about crying children torn heartlessly from their parents' arms is resonating with voters.
Even Ted Cruz is worried ... according to that worthless rag, The Dallas Morning News, (which, by the way, went all out 'Trump is abusing children this morning-)
"Ted Cruz proposes faster deportation to end the need for family separation at border
Stung by Democratic attacks over his defense of the Trump administration's family separation policy, Sen. Ted Cruz sought Monday to distance himself from the wrenching images of child migrants behind chain-link fences.
Cruz said he will file legislation mandating deportation within 14 days for anyone whose asylum claim is rejected — fast enough to not run afoul of court rulings that cap family detention at 20 days.
"All Americans are rightly horrified by the images we are seeing on the news, children in tears pulled away from their mothers and fathers. This must stop," Cruz said in a written statement.
Polls released Monday by Quinnipiac University and CBS News found that two-thirds of Americans oppose the family separation policy."
I don't believe either of those polls; when have they been right? But I guess it's enough to scare somebody who's running for election against the adorable Beto.
