IMO people are willing to throw away what may be our last chance at stopping the globalists because Trump isnt perfect.
Principled Conservatives do not look at Washington DC as some kind of Mecca, and we do not look upon politicians and elected representatives as saviors or political messiahs. We see government AS the problem. We see D.C. AS the problem. We hear all kinds of promises to reverse the lurch Leftward, only to have watched the very same people we elected help it further off the cliff while holding us complainers in contempt. We recognize the entirety of government as having become corrupted and an entity that turns whatever it touches into shit. We also find it offensive to our foundations that a people supposedly beholden to liberty allowed themselves to become so tied to a politician as to proclaim him to be 'our last chance'. I despise this quasi-monarchy the minds of this people have accepted.
On top of which they offer no alternatives and are doing nothing but sowing chaos and dissent. Which helps nobody.
We have offered suggestion and they have been roundly rejected in favor of the bulldozer a people want in Trump or more-of-the-same party politics on the Plantation garbage I've heard for the last 34 years.
Because if Trump fails, our next President will be a globalist who will make Obama look like a patriot.
I reject the very notion you offer there. Tying the salvation of liberty to one man is no different than a people demanding a dictator to save them.
THIS is why we are not going to find common ground going forward, because you have rejected the very principles of liberty for whatever is politically expedient or of superficial intent. You can rant and rave about the 'perfect being the enemy of good' until you are blue in the face. The sad fact is you do not recognize that we have been doing what your current prescription is politically for 30 years, and we have arrived where we are culturally, fiscally, and politically precisely because you have made striving for the perfect an enemy to be rejected in favor of whatever it is you deem a 'good'.
Even when it is a lifelong NYC liberal Democrat whom has been handed the mantle of Reagan with all the hopes and dreams lofted upon his shoulders by his peoples.
It's just 2008 flipped from an observational POV.
