The fact is, most people who vote for a President don't vote based on whether or not he agrees with them on the issues, they vote based on who they think is the best leader.
Reagan won 49 states in 1984, do you think that was because everybody became sold on Supply-Side economics? Of course not, they just saw Reagan as an excellent leader, regardless of whether or not they agreed with him on all the issues.
This shows Trump emerging as a leader, and that's what people see, and even all the misguided Tweets go by the wayside, in the grand scheme of things.
