I'm more curious about Merkel's body language. She's acting like she's the ruler of the world instead of just europe

I was answering RoosGirl's question @Sanguine To your other comment: I'm not so much interested in the President's image in this series of photos as I am the reactions of those around him. The President has presented a proposal to end their unfair trade practices and their heads are silently exploding. I think the photos from this moment in G7 history will become iconic.

FWIT, I often post photos for our guests as well as briefers.

BTW, there are times when what you post makes me think you really mean "sardonic" and not "sanguine". This is one of those times.

A snapshot of a group of people in a fishbowl - especially powerful people who are image conscious for the folks back home - is meaningless. And you, the viewer, will see what you want to see. Take that image where Mr. Trump is in the center. His supporters will see great strength while his detractors see a petulant child. And then there is the bias of the camera and the editor. We donâ€™t know the context. To which, I say:

So what? Truth is it is meaningless and I wonâ€™t be awestruck by any of it.
