Spoken in true ignorance of both Torah and the Brit Hadasha.
It is only and precisely the Judeo-Christian Ethic that affords freedom of thought... A liberty soon squandered as a People moves away from the Law of Liberty (Torah).
Please explain the freedom of thought afforded when prophets of another god are summarily executed. (1 Kings 18:40).
What sort of benevolent god acts like a tyrannical dictator and orders the execution of people for collecting firewood on the wrong day? (Numbers 15:32-36)
If you're going to argue the misunderstanding, then it's upon you to explain how these are not examples of outright atrocity similar to Islamic apostasy teachings, not just dismissively claim, "Oh, you just don't understand..."
I'm not just posting this in hopes of seeing an intellectually clean discussion, but I'm honestly interested in learning. These verses, and others like them, are bothersome to many.
