Keeping Up with the Kushners: With Jared Back on Top, Kim Kardashian Heads to the White House
Months of talks between Jared Kushner and Kim Kardashian is set to culminate in a meeting with President Trump, in which the reality-TV star will ask him to pardon a 62-year-old great-grandmother serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense.

After months of back-channel talks between Kim Kardashian and Jared Kushner, the high priestess of reality television is coming to the White House. By late afternoon on Wednesday, Secret Service agents will wave Kardashian and her attorney through the southwest appointment gate to the West Wing, where they will meet Kushner to discuss prison reform before he walks with them to sit down with President Donald Trump, likely in the Oval Office, along with White House counsel. According to a person familiar with the meeting, Kardashian plans to ask Trump to pardon a woman serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense. (White House staffers have joked about who will get to accompany her to the West Wing, and what they should wear for the occasion. The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.)

Prison reform is a very important issue and America can rest easy knowing that Kim Kardashian and Jared Kushner are on the case.

Americans wanted their politics to be reality-show style entertainment and they’ve certainly gotten their wish. It’s hard to tell where the government ends and the substance-less fame whoring begins anymore. Whether it’s Obama granting interviews with a chick swimming in Froot Loops or Trump’s over promoted son-in-law meeting to discuss policy with someone whose most notable accomplishments are a sex tape and a large ass.

Twitter users lost their cool after President Trump tweeted a photo from his Oval Office prison reform meeting with reality TV star Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday.

“Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing,” Trump tweeted along with a picture of the reality star.

Users responded to the picture of the unlikely pair with comedic commentary and references to Trump’s highly anticipated meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

I kinda enjoy this. All the tight ass Conservatives naval gaze and whine over not being relevant in popular culture. The President gets a foot in that door and all the Conservatives harrumph in outrage that we are dabbling in such a low brow affair.

I'm sure Kanye's recent turn-about had anything to do with getting this meeting, but it will be interesting to see if it sticks.
