Trump considering clemency for Blagojevich, Stewart

President Trump on Thursday said he is considering commuting the sentence of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) and pardoning TV personality Martha Stewart.

Trump’s comments come hours after he pardoned conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza, who pleaded guilty to a felony campaign finance violation.

The common thread here is that they were all put in jail and prosecuted by James Comey.

It's brilliant that Donald Trump chose the shady Blagojevich to be included in the group.

...especially when you consider the upcoming Inspector General (IG) Report.    :laugh:

I don't have a problem with clemency for Blogo....all it does is shorten his time, it's not a pardon.

I agree with pardoning Martha.

Blagojevich was prosecuted by Patrick Fitzgerald, who also tried Scooter Libby.

Mueller was still FBI director at the time of the 2010 trial.  During that period, Comey was working for Lockheed and a CT investment firm in the private sector, where he should have stayed.

No problem.  I wasn't sure either until I cross referenced the Blagojevich trial timeline with Comey's bio.

News Flash...Trump is looking at pardoning fellow Democrats.

You're defending...justifying and rationalizing a pardon for a "Friend of Obama" who was selling a senate seat to the highest bidder because it's Trump floating the idea of the pardon.

Had this been Hillary or Bernie or any other Dem president in the past doing this you'd be rasing holy hell about corruption and abuse of power etc etc.

Try and keep up yourself and control your trips to la la land on this.
