BREAKING: 2 in critical condition after shooting at Indiana middle school

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) -- Two people are in critical condition and a shooter is in custody after a shooting inside of Noblesville West Middle School.

News 8 has been told that the situation is contained. Police are on scene and a SWAT team is sweeping the building. The school is on lockdown. Officials are requesting more medical help on the scene.

One victim is a 13-year-old girl. One victim is an adult.

Two injured in shooting at Indiana middle school

Two people were injured after a gunman opened fire at a middle school in suburban Indianapolis, authorities said Friday.

Police have not yet publicly identified the alleged shooter, but said the suspect has been taken into custody.

Vice President Mike Pence, who was previously governor of Indiana, tweeted that he and his wife are "praying for the victims of the terrible shooting in Indiana."

"To everyone in the Noblesville community – you are on our hearts and in our prayers. Thanks for the swift response by Hoosier law enforcement and first responders," he tweeted.

I saw an update that said the suspect in custody was a seventh grader.

Need to arrest the parents, pronto and question them as well.
