Maybe not.
It is entirely possible that Mueller told McConnell that he's basically concluded that Trump didn't do anything improper, and that he's just wrapping up whatever smaller fish remain. If that is the case, then McConnell should support the investigation because it will mean an announcement that Trump has been cleared.
Or maybe that's not the case. Point is, unless we know what McConnell was told, we really can't know whether his reaction should be criticized or not.
It just struck me, why can’t we know? Why do we accept the People’s business be done in secret? Shouldn’t we know all of it? In real time – every last sordid detail?
Must we always wait for leaks? Is that how we are to be informed of what government does on our behalf? How much knowledge of the proceedings of government is too much knowledge?
