Queen Elizabeth is ‘fading away before our very eyes’: royal expert
By Andrew Court
June 24, 2022 4:50pm

A royal expert is sounding an alarm, saying new photographs of Queen Elizabeth II show the beloved monarch “fading away before our very eyes.”

Daniela Elser penned an op-ed for Australian outlet News.com.AU on Friday, saying images of the queen greeting New South Wales Governor Margaret Beazley in the UK last week were “nothing short of alarming.”

The snaps show the 96-year-old royal wearing a bright yellow dress as she smiles and shakes hands with the Australian politician inside Windsor Castle.

Elser claims the images are unremarkable until they are compared with photographs taken of the queen in a similar outfit back in June 2021, when she met former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

“The difference is truly startling,” the royal expert writes. “In the intervening 12 months, Her Majesty would appear to have become markedly more stooped, much thinner and overall appears to have shrunk.”

The Post has reached out for comment from the Queen’s communications secretary.

IMO quite judgemental of the Queen; she's 96 for heaven's sake. I can only hope to live that long and still function as she does!

I don't care for the dress or the portrait...neither is flattering to Kate

We're not the only one's that aren't fans of the portrait:

The uncanny painting by artist Jamie Coreth has prompted speculations of a Dorian Gray-style bargain and drawn comparisons to Madame Tussauds’s wax figures. ............

We should have seen this coming...Meghan needs to make herself relevant again.

'We'll be going to DC together soon': Meghan Markle hints at presidential ambitions and urges voters to 'take action' over Roe v Wade abortion ruling - as she tells activist Gloria Steinem 'feminist' Harry is 'guttural'

Duchess and Gloria Steinem spoke to Vogue's Jessica Yellin about reaction to Supreme Court decision
Steinem, 88, told how she had an abortion in London and thanked the doctor for enabling her to live her life
Ms Markle, 40, said it was time 'to channel fear into action' and urged men and women to vote in midterms
The Sussexes have made a number of incursions into politics since they moved to the US in 2020

Meghan Markle has revealed she is willing to go to Washington DC to join protests against the Roe v Wade abortion ruling and urged people to vote in the November midterms in another big step into US politics backed by her 'feminist' husband Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex is seething over the Supreme Court's decision and told activist Gloria Steinem, 88: 'Well, Gloria, it seems as though you and I will be taking a trip to DC together soon'.

In an interview with Vogue, Meghan also urged men to be 'more vocal' with their anger at the repealing of Roe v Wade and revealed that Prince Harry's response to the Supreme Court's decision last Friday was 'guttural'.

Palace probe into Meghan Markle bullying claims won’t be made public: royal aide

By Emily Crane
June 30, 2022

A Buckingham Palace probe into bullying allegations leveled against Meghan Markle has resulted in changes — but the findings won’t ever be released publicly, a senior royal aide said.

The unprecedented HR review — which was privately funded by the Queen and carried out by an independent investigator — started in March last year after two royal staffers alleged they’d been bullied by the Duchess of Sussex while working for her.

“The review has been completed and recommendations on our policies and procedures have been taken forward,” Michael Stevens, the Queen’s treasurer, said during a briefing Wednesday. “But we will not be commenting further.”

Markle, 40, vehemently denied the allegations at the time, including that she had reduced some of her assistants to tears and treated others so badly, they quit during her time as a senior royal.

Palace puts Queen on light duties: Number of 'must-do' events including State Opening Of Parliament are quietly removed in post-Jubilee update of the 96-year-old's schedule

By WALTER FINCH FOR MAILONLINE
2 July 2022

Buckingham Palace has reduced or removed some of the duties which the Queen, 96, 'must fulfil' as Monarch in its annual review, with insiders downplaying the significance of the changes.

The Prince of Wales, 73, is primed to step up and take on some of the more demanding official duties, while events such as the State Opening of Parliament, once thought a necessary constitutional convention, have been removed.

It is the first time in at least a decade that the Palace's annual report has edited or amended the Queen's duties.

Queen makes surprise visit to open new Maidenhead hospice

The Queen has made a surprise visit to a hospice with the Princess Royal to officially open its new centre.

The monarch travelled from her Windsor Castle home to Maidenhead to tour the Thames Hospice to meet staff, volunteers and a patient.

The hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care and support to people across East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.

Its services are free for those who need care.

More than 50% of its £13m annual running costs come from charitable support........

Meghan Hit the Roof Over Her Insufficiently Serious Depiction in Vanity Fair
Tom Sykes
Sat, July 16, 2022 at 7:43 AM
Quote
Meghan Markle reacted furiously to the famous Vanity Fair issue headlined “She’s Just Wild about Harry,” in which she confirmed she and Prince Harry were a couple and hinted they would soon announce their engagement. She complained that the article minimized her role as an actor, philanthropist, and activist.

According to excerpts of a new biography of Meghan by British author Tom Bower, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, Meghan angrily called her publicists, Ken Sunshine and Keyleigh Thomas Morgan, telling them that Buckingham Palace were enraged by the article and that their agency, Sunshine Sachs, should have had comments she made about her and Harry being an item removed. In the interview Meghan said: “We’re a couple. We’re in love.” Shortly after it appeared in the September 2017 issue, Harry and Meghan announced their engagement.

Excerpts of the new book are being published in The London Times ahead of its publication next week. It has already made waves by alleging that the queen said, “Thank goodness Meghan is not coming,” as she prepared for her husband’s funeral. ...

When you've been with someone as long as Elizabeth was with Phillip, when one dies the other often doesn't make it much longer.

I don't think the Queen has many days left.

That is often the case.  I think the make-or-break point tends to be 6 months - if the surviving spouse makes it past the 6-month point, their odds of not succumbing to second-spouse-syndrome improve.

Prince Harry says Covid and climate change have left him feeling 'battered and helpless' after 'a painful year in a painful decade' while revealing how fatherhood has made campaigning more important to him
Daily Mail/UK, Jul 18, 2022

Prince Harry today described how Covid and climate change had left him feeling 'battered and helpless' after a 'painful year in a painful decade' - as he revealed how fatherhood had made campaigning more important to him.

During a sombre speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Nelson Mandela Day, the Duke of Sussex said Covid is 'continuing to ravage communities in every corner of the globe' and the world is facing 'an endless stream of disasters and devastation'.

Invoking Mandela's description of hope as 'like a lifebelt is to a swimmer', Harry said: 'Let's be honest, how many of us are in danger of losing  those lifebelts right now?

How many of us feel battered, helpless, in the face of a seemingly endless stream of disasters and devastation. I understand, this has been a painful year in a painful decade.'

O.M.G.

What a spoilt, privileged little brat.  Losing the titles he did was not nearly what he deserves.  He should be stripped of all royal status, period, so that he is just another ordinary bloke in the street.  Then he can come and complain about how tired and overworked he feels.
