Robert Levinson, a private investigator, disappeared in 2007 on the Iranian island of Kish. The Iranian government has repeatedly denied knowing anything about his disappearance.

In 2010 and again in 2013 the Iranian regime released photos of Levinson. He looks thin and haggard.

Today John Solomon at The Hill reported on the rescue attempt of Robert Levinson back in 2009-2010 that never happened.

I have wondered over the years what the story with this guy was.  What was he doing there, why is he so seldom mentioned, what value does he have that he is still in captivity?
