Amnesty International Condemns Israel's Use of 'Live Ammunition' at Gaza Protests


The liberal human rights organization Amnesty International criticized the Israeli military's use of "live ammunition" against Palestinians who had gathered at different spots along the Gaza border to protest the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem on May 14. Reportedly, at least 52 Palestinians were killed and more than 2,000 wounded in the confrontations.

"This is another horrific example of the Israeli military using excessive force and live ammunition in a totally deplorable way," said Philip Luther, the research and advocacy director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty Internaitonal (AI).

"This is a violation of international standards, in some instances committing what appear to be wilful killings constituting war crimes," said Luther in a statement. "Today's footage from Gaza is extremely troubling, and as violence continues to spiral out of control, the Israeli authorities must immediately rein in the military to prevent the further loss of life and serious injuries...............

Have you ever noticed that the rioting Palis are called a "protest" but the White Nationalists in Charlottesville had a "rally"?

Some of the 'protesters' were trying to plant explosives at the fence to breach it.  Where's the condemnation of their actions?

Don't hold your breath for that condemnation from the terrorists and/or their appeasers (most Democrats).  After all... in their teeny little minds.... the Joos had it comin!

When this group refers to the anniversary of Israel's independence as Nakba (Catastrophe) Day, how are we supposed to seriously believe they want a two state solution and peace?

Wow, the soldiers were shot at with live ammo, so they have every conceivable right to shoot back with live ammo.

Those guys are idiots, as they would be dead if they showed up with stupid things like rubber bullets.

So, Israel should only use ammo that is less than eight months old. Fairly certain that is the cutoff for live.... by the left.
