It's unfortunate that McCain has chosen to leave this world with a lot of bitterness and animosity in his heart.  I'd like to think that it's the result of his cancer eating away at his brain or maybe, in his weakened state, someone is influencing him to say and do things he might not otherwise.  Or maybe in his weakened state someone is issuing this hatred in his name.  Members here have long complained of his actions and his words even before he became ill and rightly so.  Maybe this cancer has made him even worse than he already was.

But I also think it's wrong for this administration or anyone else to stoop to McCain's  level or worse.  I myself would like to go to Arizona and slap him on his noggin.  But in this situation, I think it's better to just stay silent.  McCain will eventually be judged by a higher power anyway.  No reason for any of us to pile on.

Maybe he's afraid to die, because he knows what he deserves on the other side?
You bring up an interesting point.

A while back while I was perusing the Internet, I came across a list of the last words of various figures in history. I noticed a few trends:
- Socialist leaders like Huey Long and Hugo Chavez begged not to die, because they knew that their legacies could not be carried on. They were true narcissists.
- People like Chris Farley and John Belushi, both of whom died on drug benders, feared being alone and abandoned at the moment they died.
- Violent criminals on death row dared their executioners to kill them, their souls so bankrupt that they didn't fear death.
- Christians were largely at peace with their situation.

Fear of death is usually one of two things: guilt, or narcissism. In McCain's case, it could be both.

@Applewood

Sounds nice and in most cases I would agree.  In this case this isn't just some guy lashing out.  No this is one of the most powerful senators attempting to use his death to further his political agenda.  His agenda of making America weaker and helping the leftists.

He hasnt come out in support of any Republicans.  No hes trashed every Republican while supporting Biden, Obama and their leftists causes.

And that I will not be silent on.
