I have very eclectic tastes in music. You just never know what will be playing in my car or on my phone, at work or at home. One day or even in the same day, it’s classical, classic or modern jazz, blues, Motown, Elizabethan and medieval, Baroque, classic rock, pop of the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s, 90’s to early 2000’s grunge and hard rock, late 70’s punk and early 80’s new wave, “adult alternative†… not so much on the hip hop or most “country†but I do like bluegrass. I like traditional bluegrass but also “modern†bluegrass.
Today at work I was playing Pandora while I worked and put on the “Nickel Creek†channel – i.e. “modern bluegrassâ€.
For some reason I particularly love playing this type of music in the Fall of the year.
On Sunday, my roommate and I went to the National Apple Harvest Festival just outside of Gettysburg PA and among one of the many groups there was one playing traditional bluegrass, so I guess it put me in the mood. I put this station on while while driving through the beautiful rural PA country side on our way home, the trees with autumn leaves, past the many apple groves, through the many small towns and this song came on. Perfect driving music.
