My alarm clock woke me up this morning to “schools out†by Alice Cooper.
Every kids favorite song when I was a pre teen.
By the same band whose singer would dump them three years later---because the four musicians behind him thought the wild animal act (about half of which they copped from Arthur Brown, the half that wasn't eventually nicked by Kiss, anyway) had more than run its course and gotten too much in the way of the rock and roll, and because one of the four was so strung out he could barely put his hands on his guitar at all---to start a solo career with an album called
Welcome to My Nightmare.
p.s. "School's Out" wasn't exactly unloved among us high school seniors-to-be, either. ;)
