President Trump announced Thursday he will meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12 for a high-stakes talks over denuclearization.
 
"The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th," he tweeted. "We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!"

This is smart. I wouldn't trust the safety of a DMZ meeting for security reasons. The NORKs could launch missiles into it with no time to react. It is just too close to enemy' territory and is still a military hot zone.
