Former Clinton press secretary says Sanders should give Trump an ultimatum: Don’t lie again or I’ll quit

A former press secretary is calling for Sarah Huckabee Sanders to issue an ultimatum to President Trump: Don't lie to me again, or I’ll quit.

"I think at this point, I'd go into the Oval Office and tell the president that if he lies to me again, I have to quit," Joe Lockhart, who served in former President Bill Clinton's administration, said on "CNN Newsroom" on Saturday.

"I think she runs the risk, it's at the stage where she's complicit in the lies, even though she may not have the best information,” he continued, referring to the current White House press secretary.

Lockhart added that Sanders “now knows for certain that the president is a liar.”
