US, French troops seen conducting joint patrol in Manbij, Syria
By: Kyle Rempfer   17 hours ago

Pictures and video surfaced Monday showing U.S. and French forces conducting a joint patrol in the northern Syria town of Manbij.

A video posted by Furat FM, a news radio channel in the region, shows American and French flags on display as vehicles drive through what is reportedly downtown Manbij.

Pentagon officials wouldn’t comment directly on the footage or confirm the existence of joint patrols.

The US and French just can't leave Syria alone.  They tried their best to keep them under their interests before Hafez Assad took control, and then they sensed an opportunity when the civil war occurred.  I don't think that they counted on Bashar Assad being as strong as he has been, and for standing up for the Syrians as much as he has.  They probably thought he would give up like Mubarek.

The US and French care nothing about Syrians.  Like Albright said, mass death is an acceptable cost (to further US interests).  Many more will die if the US overthrows Assad, like they did in Iraq and Libya after the US hit and ran.
