Kanye West: When you think about it, 400 years of slavery seems like a choice

To cleanse the palate, I’m not sure where he’s going with this. But it sure is turning into an interesting test of whether someone who’s mega-famous can say or do anything that might alienate literally all of his fans.

Fortunately for him, if he can’t sell albums anymore, Mrs. West is perfectly capable of providing for the household doing whatever it is that she and her family actually do.

From the comments I've read from him, it's difficult to tell whether West meant 400  years of real slavery (there were actually less than 250 in the U.S.) or the mental state of blacks believing  they're still slave-like victims.
At any rate, to me it sounds like he wants black people to start thinking of themselves as winners in life rather than perpetual victims.
