None of this is anything new. Liberals have been saying this about conservatives for many decades. Remember, it was in 1968 that Gore Vidal called William F. Buckley Jr. a "crypto-fascist" on tv. Which caused Buckley to go momentarily berserk and threaten to punch out Vidal's lights. Which probably would have been a good thing. (although I hasten to add I'm against people physically assaulting others over political differences. Buckley later regretted losing his composure.)
But it's fair to say over the decades liberals have gotten worse in their Nazi-calling of anybody who is not to the left of Stalin.
