Brad Thor, a bestselling author, said last week that he plans to challenge President Trump in 2020, "if no conservative steps up."

Thor, a conservative who has voiced criticism of Trump, made the announcement in a series of Tweets. According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, however, Thor has not filed to run for president.

Brad Thor really is kinda a big deal in the book world. Sells millions of books.  He's actually pretty conservative on most things it seems and is a pretty good guy by all accounts.  What he actually said on Twitter was that he would step up and run if no other conservatives ran against Trump.  He was on the Trump train early on but has since become disenchanted with the President.  Imagine that.
