Trump VA pick withdraws nomination
By Nathaniel Weixel and Jordan Fabian - 04/26/18 07:55 AM EDT

Navy Adm. Ronny Jackson on Thursday announced he is withdrawing as President Trump's nominee to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) amid mounting accusations of misconduct.

In a lengthy statement, Jackson called the allegations "false and fabricated," but said he is pulling out to allow Trump to move forward.

"Unfortunately, because of how Washington works, these false allegations have become a distraction for this president and the important issue we must be addressing – how we give the best care to our nation’s heroes," he said.

The timing of the recent allegations are suspect IMO (especially given the security background investigations Jackson had to have previously gone through), but given his background and experience, I think withdrawing as the VA Administrator nominee is best for the country, for the Administration, and for him.
I adore facts and data and abhor lies and liars.

This is just more evidence that DC is nothing but a fraud. Get some fat slob like Tester to manufacture some report full of absurd unsubstantiated charges and then splash it around the press. It's bullshit.

What I find interesting, though not surprising, is the silence of Barack Obama. Didn't Jackson work for him for a couple of years?

You had better have a wheel barrow full of loot to fight the charges.

It's insane.
He was Obama's private physician, yet some fool on the radio this morning said, "Well, yes, he was vetted, but not to the level that Cabinet heads are".

Ah, BS and onion gravy.

You would vet a cabinet member more harshly than someone who could possibly hold the life of POTUS in their hands?

I ain't buyin' it.
It's a smear job.
