GOP rep rips Macron after speech as 'socialist militarist globalist'

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Kent.) blasted French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday as a "socialist militarist globalist science-alarmist," as the French leader addressed members of Congress. 

"French President is a socialist militarist globalist science-alarmist... the dark future of the American Democratic Party," Massie tweeted.

He's been out in the last 2 weeks, going to bat for Assad a bit, "why would he poison his own people when the US was leaving Syria" and those kinds of arguments or if not defending Assad, at least being very questioning of what we are doing.

Massie is a solid guy so I'll go along with what he says. I am not interested in getting rid of Assad. Without him Christianity would be gone in Syria.

Syria was once largely colonized by the French. Maybe it needs to be partitioned. Minorities do need to be protected.

I won't go to "the Hill" for it, but what, exactly, did Macron say that got Massie's panties in a wad?  I listened to Macron on Fox and heard nothing of the sort.    :shrug: :shrug: :shrug:
