Romney wins Utah primary race
« on: June 27, 2018, 03:12:03 am »
Mitt Romney is projected to win the GOP nomination in Utah’s Senate race, essentially clearing the way for the former presidential nominee to claim a Senate seat this fall.

The Associated Press called the race for Romney at 10:24 p.m. EDT.

Romney defeated state Rep. Mike Kennedy (R) in Tuesday’s primary in the race to replace retiring GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch. Since Utah is a deep-red state, Romney is expected to cruise to victory in November, which will mark his political comeback since running for president in 2012.

The former Massachusetts governor has previously run for Senate. He made his political debut in 1994 and ran a surprisingly strong bid against Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.).

People wondered where he would land on the political spectrum, when taken out of Massachusetts politics.  Now we will find out.  Who really knows?  Orrin Hatch scored in the 60s and 70s according to the American Conservative Union, in the past few years.  He may improve on that.

Romney is a blight on America.

Let's just hope he does not pollute the political landscape with kin like the Clintons and Bushes

I'm guessing he's gunning for McConnell's job.

Well his niece is the head of the RNC.
