One moderately populated state where voting fraud is a way of life in it's two major cities and you call it an anomaly. Like I said. Clown show.

Trump Is Right — Millions Of Illegals Probably Did Vote In 2016

https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/trump-is-right-millions-of-illegals-probably-did-vote-in-2016/

Do non-citizens vote in U.S. elections?

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0261379414000973

Even the editorial that you provided as a source noted the following:

Quote
But, in fact, it's almost certain that illegals did vote — and in significant numbers. Whether it was three million or not is another question.

It also notes that illegals "may have" voted, even the headline noted they "probably" voted.  Your editorial is hardly definitive and hardly proof.  If this were really true, I'd expect our Commander in Chief to take action to put a stop to it.  Of course, he's not.  Have a good night Frank.   :seeya:

:silly:

There was that brief, hypothetical moment when he was supposedly running against Obama (before he threw the election) where McCain was the Worst Man in the World.  If you had blinked, you missed it.

To answer your question:  I think it's both.  I think he lies (knowingly tells things he knows are false AND he makes false (unknowingly) or misleading statements (intentionally and unintentionally).   He also exaggerates ("truthful hyperbole" as he put it)).  He's the President of the United States for goodness sake.  I really think he has a responsibility to get his facts right.  Whether it's the fact that we have a trade surplus with Canada, that there's no evidence that millions of illegals voted in the last election, not "everyone" got a tax cut, ObamaCare has not been "wiped out".  This list goes on and on.

Ehh.....yeah.... but...... getting back to the gist of this thread, you accuse him of lying about that "break in".... and yet plenty of members here see it also as just that.... a break in.  Again, it's a matter of perception....

not of dishonesty.   And that's all I'm gonna say about that.  lolol

I wonder if anyone has EVER seen in books, on the TV, or in the movies the execution of a lawfully obtained warrant referred to as being "broke into"?  I sure haven't.   I absolutely believe Trump was misrepresenting the execution of the warrant as the past tense of a "break-in" in order to play to his base, and I'd say it's working.

You're obviously not going to see what you don't want to see, and it's not really anyone here's job to make you see it.  Time to move on.

It appears somebody has to learn things the hard way all the time, and until he has LEOs force him around, he'll always assume it doesn't happen and that all requests are gentle.  He's not  the only one, I've had conversations with people who think that people who have to take Opioids for chronic pain are faking it.

No one gives a shit about what you think of Trumps colloquialism. As a matter of one cares about you. The average dope on the street knew exactly what Trump was talking about. It wasn't for the consumption of haters who have a picture of Mitt Romney and Bill Kristol hanging in their powder room.

I think Trump should have used harsher language against the Clinton hack Prosecutor running that investigation and the buffoon Mueller who has a long track record of effing up investigations to the point the govt' has to hand out MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in hush money to the wrongly accused.

It's not what I think.  It's what the good folks at Merriam Webster, a leading authority on the definition of words, thinks.  And it appears that MW has shown that Trump was wrong to characterize the event as a break-in.

So no one cares about me, eh?  Did you conduct a poll of everyone here?  If so, what were the results? Or are you talking out of your ass again?

By the way, Frank, you can kiss my ass. Until and unless the mods throw me out, I'm staying.    Grow up and deal with it.

I remember the same outrage when Trump said Obama "wiretapped" him.  They made sport of him, drawing word pictures of some guy with a cloak a dagger using alligator clips on a telephone line, when clearly he meant "surveillance."  He was the one telling the truth.

I'm as tired of this word game as you are, @Frank Cannon.  Trump knows what he's saying, and who he's saying it to.  It's not the people who jump on his every malapropism.

This thread reminds me of a 1964 season 2 episode of Petticoat Junction where the traveling library on the Cannonball Express seems to pass through Hooterville a lot. Uncle Joe is interested in the librarian. This thought provoking episode was nominated for 8 Emmy's because of it's controversial topics.

Not true. I believe in season 5 Uncle Joe married his partner, one of the dudes that ran the train, and for the season finally they adopted a Mexican boy and moved to a farm outside Hooterville where Mr Hainy was their landlord.

Apple Is Served A Search Warrant To Unlock Texas Church Gunman’s Phone

.  .  .  The day after the shooting, Chris Combs of the FBI (which is helping the Texas Rangers in the investigation) was on TV complaining that consumer smartphones are just too darn secure to break into. He wouldn’t say what kind of smartphone Kelley owned, only that the FBI sent Kelley’s phone out to its forensics lab in Virginia, which would try to obtain its contents.

Next, we hear that the Rangers have served Apple with a search warrant (dated November 9) demanding access to Kelley’s iPhone SE. Apparently the forensics lab scientists couldn’t break into it.  .  .

Once again, Trump didn't use the term 'break-in'.
