Trump says that if Attorney General Jeff Sessions had let Trump know he was planning to recuse himself from overseeing the special counsel's investigation, Trump would have picked someone else for the job.

Trump also told reporters that "many people" are telling him to fire Robert Mueller.

The remarks came shortly after reports that the FBI obtained a search warrant to raid the office and residence of Michael Cohen, Trump's longtime personal lawyer.

There's no indication that I've seen that Mueller has anything against the President.  I wonder why he doesn't just let Mueller just play this out (I suspect his investigation is almost over)?  Of course, if Trump knows there's something in Cohen's office that is criminal and associated with the search warrant, that's a whole different story.

Well, he's yet to dig up Fred Trump to desecrate the bones.

??? Are you serious here?  Mueller's investigation is now going beyond Russian collusion; there seems to be no limit. He was appointed as special counsel to investigate Trump and Russian collusion.  Nothing has been found and yet the investigation continues and now is delving into Trump's associations regardless if they have anything to do with Russia or not. Are you aware of the connection that Mueller has with the Clintons and Bammy?  Rosenstein has similar connections that are nothing short of corruption.  Mueller and Rosenstein are clearly going after Trump and though information and evidence continues to surface surrounding the corruption of the past administration; they do nothing.  Nothing but allowing the corruption of the past administration to slide and trying desperately to find something on Trump and his cronies.

I couldn't be more serious.  I haven't seen "Mueller's  investigation" going beyond Russian collusion or approval by Rosenstein)at all.  In fact, I'd argue that referring the Michael Cohen case to the US Attorney of the Southern District is a textbook example of Mueller NOT exceeding his authority.  He referred the investigation to someone who HAS the authority to investigate it.

Relative to Russian Collusion, I've said repeatedly (here at TBR and elsewhere) that I don't expect to see any evidence of collusion between Trump (personally) and Russia.  Unfortunately for Trump, if other crimes are uncovered during the investigation, he may be in trouble (and I think he is).  This is why I personally ALWAYS try to avoid even the appearance of criminal activity.  I'm not sure Trump and his associates can say the same.  As a law and order guy, I say:  tough luck:  follow the law!

Relative to Mueller, he was appointed by a Trump appointee.  Relative to the Cohen warrant, it was approved by the office of the US attorney appointed by Trump.  It was referred to the Southern District by a Republican who was appointed by a Trump Appointee.  The warrant was conducted by the FBI Director appointed by..................wait for it................Donald Trump.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Not going beyond Russian collusion?  It seems to me that this has more to do with Stormy Daniels than Russian collusion.  Agreed, Trump has made some very stupid appointments; either he hasn't done any vetting or some bonehead (my guess, Kushner) is advising him who to select.

You and I agree that there is no evidence in Trump colluding with Russia; that's been known for awhile and the investigation should have been closed; yet the investigation lingers on and on and anything uncovered now really IMHO is going well beyond investigating Russian collusion. In fact, I believe that Mueller and Rosenstein knew from the get go that there was no collusion, it was nothing more than an excuse to go after Trump.   Interesting how much information has been found regarding Clinton/Bammy corruption, yet nothing is done.  Of course Rosentein and Mueller were involved in that same corruption and they certainly aren't going to hang themselves.

I agree that "this" may have more to do with Stormy Daniels (or more to do with Taxi medallions) than Russian collusion.  "This" is PRECISELY why Mueller referred "this" to the Southern District.  I've continued to see no evidence that Mueller is the booeyman, and I think if those who think he is the boogeyman could be objective, they'd admit the same.

Jared is busy refiling his financial disclosure forms, yet again and Ivanka is trying to score a royal wedding invitation.

Not so sure about that.  I don't trust Jared for a nano-second and I believe he may have been the one who advised Trump to hire Mueller's boss, Rosenstein.

All you have to do to vet Mueller is look (objectively, minus the anti-Trump glasses) at Mueller's past history of corruption and dirty dealings.  To think that he has miraculously changed into a 'better man' would be naive at best.... and downright stupid at worst.  Just sayin....

If I'm wearing "anti-Trump glasses", what exactly has Mueller done illegally relative to Trump since he's been President?  What's he done that hasn't been approved by Trump appointee Rosenstein?   How has Mueller abused his power?  Chris Christie and Newt Gingrich have both said he's a good man. I base my conclusions on facts.  What are the facts that indicate Mueller is GUILTY of any thing? Everything I've seen from Mueller has been solid indictments and guilty pleas.  I live in today.  What's he done now that has indicated he's abused power or is corrupt?  Lots of question, I don't expect many answers unfortunately.
