Conservatism’s Next Voice: Ben Shapiro Heads to Radio
« on: March 29, 2018, 07:12:22 pm »
https://www.redstate.com/joesquire/2018/03/29/conservatisms-next-voice-ben-shapiro-heads-radio/

A viral sensation because of his prolific writing resume, videos of arguments against liberal activists, and contentious university speeches, the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro has been a big hit on virtually every available medium.

This includes podcasting, where the Ben Shapiro Show is a huge hit among political podcasts, frequently at the top of the charts. All of this popularity has led a major radio group to syndicate his podcasts on terrestrial radio, POLITICO reports.

Quote
Starting on April 2, Westwood One will be syndicating the podcast, called The Ben Shapiro Show, as a one-hour program in several major markets, including New York, Washington, and Los Angeles.

The move will bring the 34-year-old Shapiro, often seen as a leading voice of young conservatives, into the same arena as the older generation of conservative talk radio standard-bearers, like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. With his 1.27 million Twitter followers and, according to Westwood One, 15 million podcast downloads per month, some observers can see Shapiro rising quickly through the ranks of conservative radio.

I generally like Shapiro.  And, he will add some diversity of thought.

He needs to stick to writing.

I no longer listen to talk radio.

Isn't he the NeverTrumper that resigned from Breitbart News in support of that lying bimbo Michelle
Fields? I'm not a fan.

I hear they have made major advances in hearing aids these days.   Might want to look into those old man.

More Redstate bullshit. In the 3 or 4 rankings I looked at Ben comes in consistently behind The New York Times "The Daily", NPR's Up First and Serial. How do you get beat by those two losing dinosaurs and be heralded as a podcast genius?

I believe he did that. I watch/listen to him on his YouTube channel.

Other good ones include Jordan Peterson, Stefan Molyneux, Dave Rubin, Scott Adams, etc.

This google result will list such sources.

He needs to stick to writing, because he has a terrible voice for radio.  Then again, so does Levin, so what do I know?
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

I hear just fine.

I'm not interested in listening to blowhards all afternoon.

I'll read what they have to say and digest it and research whether or not it has merit rather than saturate my eardrums with their opinions.

Yes, he is.  I was thinking of starting a JP thread. I'm reading the book now.

It will be nice having an actual Conservative back on the radio again.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Back on the Trump Train after the Omnibus debacle?

I never got off, I just enjoyed bashing Trump for a stupid move that still might mean the end of his
presidency. Just because I am sometimes critical, trying to hold him accountable does not mean I
don't still support him.

That's fair.
