'60 Minutes' scores highest ratings in 10 years with Stormy Daniels interview
By Joe Concha - 03/26/18 09:51 AM EDT

The Stormy Daniels interview produced the highest ratings for "60 Minutes" since 2008, delivering more than 24 million viewers on Sunday night, according to preliminary numbers provided by Nielsen Media Research.

The interview, conducted by correspondent Anderson Cooper, who also serves as a CNN host, will likely go down as the highest-rated for the news magazine since Barack and Michelle Obama's first major interview following the 2008 election, which drew 24.5 million viewers.

For context, President Trump's first interview post-election in November, 2016 attracted 16.4 million viewers. Vice President Pence joined the president for that sit-down.

So much Fake News. Never been more voluminous or more inaccurate. But through it all, our country is doing great!

FLOP! Turns out the Stormy Daniels interview was a total dud, and the media is upset

On Sunday night, the media finally got what they wanted, or did they?

The media had been salivating over the Sunday night interview with Stormy Daniels, the porn star who CLAIMED to have an affair with Trump 12 years ago. Sadly (for them), she didn’t give them anything “juicy” to talk about.

All she did was give some odd “details” about her “encounters” with Trump that would only be believed by a gullible moron or liberals wanting to believe the worst about Trump.

The people who say we didn't elect him to be the nation's moral compass don't get to complain when Trump eventually screws them.

I saw a story mentioning that it looked like her eyes were dilated, I just saw a clip on Fox, and yes, the pupils in her eyes were like big cannonballs.

I saw that too. It would be interesting to see the entire thing though. I know from photography that one can't just use one image or a fraction of a minute to judge though, looking to and then away from stage lights can do that. (when you look away into a dark area after looking at a bright object your eyes will dilate like that)

I wouldn't be surprised... but it doesn't really change the story.

Update from the last one. Yep, here eyes are dilated though most of these clips. It wasn't just a fraction of a second screen grab..

If she was on something, she handles whatever it is a lot better than Sam Nunberg did in his interviews.

It may have been Coke.. but it also could have been something as benign as blood pressure medication or some eyedrops.

Exactly, any way, it's just a detail unless something comes to light.

  • WE are NOT ok!
I didn't see the interview as I saw no reason to.  She admitted to having 'consensual' sex with Trump which means he didn't force her.  Two consenting adults had sex.  He has committed no crime.  He committed adultery; that he has to reconcile with himself and Melania. She never accused Trump of threatening her, someone else did.  What stands out to me in all of this is her claim that they had unprotected sex ... so it seems to me that she may be trying to get people to think Trump may be her baby's Daddy??  I actually looked it up.  Her daughter is seven making it impossible for Trump to be the bio Daddy and one of her ex husbands is listed as the father.  So other than to draw attention, why would she do the interview and why would she mention unprotected sex??  Good grief .... this is one for the "Maury" audience!

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I was wondering about the condom questioning myself unless they are holding off on something- abortion, std, or just a storyline about taking unnecessary risks?

The NDA had an odd red flag in it, calling out disclosing 'paternity information' and 'alleged children'.

The main reason it had so strong ratings is because that Duke/Kansas March Madness game went into overtime, and people left their TV sets on.

Back about 10 years ago when I was tracking ratings for the Sunday talk shows, I noticed that the morning shows that led into them almost always had nearly identical ratings to the talk shows themselves. When it comes to live programming, lead-in is probably the biggest factor in ratings, and the actual content of the show is almost irrelevant.

The only reason I see how it's relevant to mention is to show you may have evidence of the encounter.
