Not voting at all, or voting for people who have zero chance, won't change anything.

We're tired of practicing insanity.  Perhaps you forgot that the GOP has changed the rules in the last two convention cycles to ensure that a grassroots conservative NEVER has an opportunity to win national office ever again.

I'd rather vote for someone who has actual proven fruits and stands upon the same principles I do, even if in this society - has a zero chance of "winning" in the manipulated and rigged system that nearly achieved what it attempted with Hidlabeast last cycle.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

The problem was that in 2016, there wasn't a candidate that a conservative could 'like' even a little bit.

There was no where for a conservative vote to go other than third party, or no thank you.
@musiclady
Even then, the third parties didn't offer all that much to rightward voters. The Libertarian Party put up a presidential candidate and running mate who were
arguably closer to what we used to call Rockefeller Republicans, and don't get me started on the other third parties and their 2016 offerings.

The only way things will change is if the people we like get more votes than the people we don't.  Not voting at all, or voting for people who have zero chance, won't change anything.  Such "messages" never get received, much less understood.

Agree. It felt good when, in a miff, I changed my registration to Independent a couple years ago. I reasoned that should send a message to the GOP. But, when it comes to voting, I vote with my head. The fact is most D’s are progressives, and to the handful that aren’t, why would I want to sit it out or go 3rd party and help increase democrat numbers in congress? Democrat leaders are full blown loons and socialists.

So are the Republican leaders in my estimation.
