He said almost the exact same things, word for word, when he signed the spending bill in February.

2 didn't vote at all.
All the Democrats and the rest of the Republicans voted for it.

I have no problem with anything related to National Defense...that is all Trump talked about he didn't mention what else was in the Bill.

I don't see how the President get reelected after that press conference. He just gave a pass to the GOP and the Rats spending whatever and all he has to pimp is a bunch of bullshit expanding the military.

6 Dems voted no as did Bernie Sanders (independent)
That means only 26 of the Republicans voted no.
Rubio and Boxer did not vote.

I wish people would actually read The Art of the Deal instead of just quoting the title. It is, for lack of a better term, used car salesmen tactics, glitz, and show only. He even brags about lying to get deals done.

I think in this case, he doesn't think he is 'negotiating' with Congress over things, he seems to be acting like he is negotiating with the public over his popularity. He hasn't seemed to have a hand in any of the hard work around these bills.
