See RiV?  THEY GET IT.

Your Trump-colored GOP glasses prevent you from recognizing reality, or you have a fatal case of Normalcy bias.

Or both.

Is the GOP standing ready to stack the Supreme Court with a 'Progressive' majority?

Is the GOP plotting to repeal the 2nd Amendment?

No matter how many times the lie is told (that today's GOP and DEMs are "..the same")...there is, indeed a stark difference.

Standing on your personal set of principles against, what's at stake here....??

Go sit down.

Ah yes, the old "we have to vote Republican to save us from the Democrats" line again.

I have news for you.The Republicans are already wavering on the Second Amendment.   And as for SCOTUS, well, we have this Gorsuch guy who is allegedly conservative, but I have yet to see anything from him to prove that allegation one way or the other.

And of course, then there is Roberts, also an alleged conservative, who screwed us all with Obamacare.

We can no longer trust the Republicans to defend the Constitution and to keep us from the Democrats' liberal, socialist, commie agenda.  Why?  Because the vast majority of them are liberal.  Libeals -- Democrat or Republicn -- believe in the same things -- big government, nanny state and tax/spend.

Get it?

I find this statement rather hypocritical for a President that offered the left/DEM/DACA amnesty!

@libertybele

In exchange for The Wall, end of chain migrant and a merit based system. The dems turned down
the offer. They prefer the open borders we have now. I guess you agree with Chucky and like things
the ways they are.

Go ahead @INVAR ... vote for whomever you want.  It's your right, exercise it.  Turn the government back over to the democrats.   In fact, I dare you.

It’s already happened, your blinders won’t let you see it.

choose to make himself politically irreverent so he could claim moral high ground rather than fight

I didn't realize I needed your permission.

I don't see a difference whatsoever.  IMO the Big Government oligarchy is still running the show to grow the State and spend us into oblivion.  Your party simply believes it can manage Socialist Collectivism better than the Marxists can.

Your party has rewritten the rules to prevent the grassroots from putting a solid Conservative into national races while your party leadership has told the Tea Party to shut up, sit down or get punched in the nose.

We're done with practicing insanity.  But I fully expect that you will do so, while trying to sell everyone on the desperate need to prevent the Democrats from gaining power, because your party will do the same shit instead, only wiser.

IOW, we’ve gone Galt.

Trump fans don't need the so-called Never Trumpers...except when they do.

The Republican Party is in grave danger of losing both houses of Congress and maybe even the presidency.  The thought that there are a number of us non-residents of the Trump plantation who won't vote for the Republicans ever again terrifies the Trump faithful.  I don't know -- maybe the Trump worshipers think that by marginalizing and ridiculing the nonbelievers, they can pressure them into "coming back to the fold."

Well, for this "infidel," the tactic won't work.  The party and Trump fans have lost us forever.  Get used to it.

If you had ever read my posts without your snark glasses,

Well, some of us have to use snark glasses because unlike you, we don't have snark permanently implanted into our fingertips.

you'd know I do not agree with you and I refuse to be sucked into your vortex of political despair and defeat.

Normalcy Bias combined with Cognitive Dissonance in order to practice insanity is not healthy.  But hey - people are addicted to and cannot do without all kinds of nefarious and destructive crap to themselves out there, so why should addiction to a corrupt political party be any different?

Hoping you have a productive day.

I doubt that.

How many times has your party confirmed and approved radical Leftists to the federal bench to get along with Democrats?  Then of course there is Roberts.

So - I would have to say - it's like throwing dice.  Maybe the GOP will stack the courts with Democrat-Approved justices, maybe they will stack them with Marxists in moderate clothing, maybe they might accidentally appoint someone who hides their Originalist bona fides from Congress - but doubtful.

Is the GOP plotting to repeal the 2nd Amendment?

Why bother?  Your president said they can just take the guns now and we can get due process later.  Then there's the expansion of CAF Sessions has a hard-on for.

Well, you go ahead and believe that.

I gave up on believing in the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny a long time ago.

That dreck doesn't fly or have any impact anymore.  Your own party saw to that.

Go sit down.

Nope.  But you are welcome to try and force me to.

Yeah right.... we're politically irrelevant, until we need to be blamed for Trump not getting his way or the Democrats winning races or warning others that because of us, your party will lose and the Democrats will again assume power.

Whatever.

Your hysteria and focus on Conservatives who do not genuflect Trump or your party is evidence enough that we are much more politically relevant than you like to pretend.

Some of us are not stupid enough to fight in a corrupted party of traitors and backstabbing leaders aiding and funding the very ideology and agenda they pretend to oppose.

We have other plans.

To be totally honest, I've lost interest in politics.  Not totally, but I'm almost there.  It's all a kabuki show, in my opinion.  And I've come to believe there are far more important things.

??? He promised to build a wall.   He promised no amnesty.  He promised repeal.  The GOP has not delivered on any of his campaign political strategies.  So exactly why should I believe that the GOP will take us more to the right?

Nobody said you should, and I don't understand your point.

The point made by Trump was that the GOP should move to the right.  Nobody is claiming that the GOP, as a whole, will actually follow that advice.  Trump wants to build a wall -- Congress won't approve the funds.  He killed DACA, and the courts put it back -- at least temporarily.  Trump wanted to get rid of Obamacare, but Congress wouldn't vote for that either.
So now, he's urging Republicans in Congress to move to the right -- in essence, to support those things he promised that you apparently want done as well -- and you're criticizing him for urging that.

I don't understand why conservatives are criticizing Trump for urging the GOP to become more conservative.  There are a lot of legitimate reasons to dislike the guy, but the feeding frenzy here when he actually made a statement that is 100% correct is...puzzling.

So...I don't get it.

Because it's bullshit kabuki theater for political consumption and most of us are wise to it now.

And, the loss of the House in November gives Trump political cover to say that 'he warned them', after going full-tilt Pelosi like they did with this omnibus spendthrift betrayal they call a bill.

Yet Trump will sign it for the 'win' to keep government operating stratospherically far above and beyond it's means.

If the government is turned back over to the democrats, you'll have to prove that they actually aren't in power now, it won't be because of Invar and voters like us. I twill be because of the republican controlled government out democrating the democrats. We have seen this sorry story before and if the leadership doesn't get their feces together there will be no way to stop Titanic II. If this obscene spending bill goes to Trump and he signs it, I don't see how you are going to excuse it.

Trump does not know what the "right" is.  He just said that on the spur of the moment and tomorrow won't remember he said it.  Tomorrow he may say the GOP needs to move left to cooperate with the left - and he doesn't know what the left is, either.

He can't do it all alone,   the Congressional Republicans loves themselves the Center.

Sure he can.  He can recognize and work with the Freedom Caucus for starters.  There's lots he could do, if he were inclined to do so.

Love him or hate him ---  Donald Trump has remarkable political instincts. He boiled the winning political strategy down to four simple words in 2016.  Now the President's laid out another short, sweet and on target strategy for winning in 2018.

The GOP would do well to take his advice "over and over again" to the voters.

Gee, that's great for him.  When do WE start getting some wins?

He threatened to primary those guys... So he's having none of that. Trump is a big proponent of deficit spending to boost things - he's been the leverage king for some time.

Because it is a sales pitch and not the truth. The Freedom Caucus are some of the few conservatives in congress trying to hold the line and he wanted to primary them cutting them off at the knees. Actual actions are what matters, not talk.
