??? He promised to build a wall. He promised no amnesty. He promised repeal. The GOP has not delivered on any of his campaign political strategies. So exactly why should I believe that the GOP will take us more to the right?
Nobody said you should, and I don't understand your point.
The point made by Trump was that the GOP
should move to the right. Nobody is claiming that the GOP, as a whole, will actually
follow that advice. Trump wants to build a wall -- Congress won't approve the funds. He killed DACA, and the courts put it back -- at least temporarily. Trump wanted to get rid of Obamacare, but Congress wouldn't vote for that either.
So now, he's urging Republicans in Congress to move to the right -- in essence, to support those things he promised that you apparently want done as well -- and you're
criticizing him for urging that.
I don't understand why conservatives are criticizing Trump for urging the GOP to become more conservative. There are a lot of legitimate reasons to dislike the guy, but the feeding frenzy here when he actually made a statement that is 100% correct is...puzzling.
So...I don't get it.
