Senate passes $1.3 trillion spending bill, averting another government shutdown
The Hill, Mar 23, 2018, Benjamin Brown

In a vote just after midnight Friday, the Senate passed a $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill, averting a government shutdown while paving the way for the next funding fight ahead of the midterm elections.

The House had approved its version Thursday in a bipartisan tally of 256-167. The Senate passed its bill 65-32.

The sweeping deal, which will fund the government until September, increases military and domestic programs, delivering federal funds throughout the country, but exceeds budget caps -- adding about $1 trillion to the national debt.

"Victory for conservatives today is that all of America now knows what a budget-busting bomb this bill is," Paul tweeted. "Hopefully, today’s battle will embolden conservatives to descend on Congress and demand Constitutional government."

My man Cruz voted against it... thus proving I was spot-on in my support of him all along.

Oh I know full well.  As designed and intended by this setup POS legislation.  And all Trump had to do was say HELL NO.

Last night, a read why Cruz wouldn't vote for the bill.
5 or 6 (among many) points as to why this was a bad deal.
Today, he has written something about how disappointed he was that this passed.
Now, just beat Beto and hope he can run for POTUS again in the future.

I haven't heard much from Paddy O'rourke lately.  How is he polling?

After this GOP circus leaves town I don't expect any Republican to win the White House for a long time to come.

He came out against firearms pretty strong a week or so ago, and just kind of faded away, at least for the moment.

Just a friendly reminder:

Cruz: Those who bolstered Trump will 'bear that responsibility going forward'

Definitely not.  Once Trump grants amnesty (as he has already offered the DEMS) it's game over.  With million of new DEM voters it will be mathematically impossible for a GOP win.  Oh...and to the Trump supporters, where is that magic rabbit he was supposed to pull out of his hat?

Meanwhile ... Trump has allowed his corrupt AG to continue to allow the corruption within the DOJ and FBI allowing the Clinton/Bammy corruption to continue.

God Bless America. I know our stupidity is overwhelming but we could really use a miracle about now to save us from ourselves!

Exactly.  It sure seems that way.  There's really no other way to look at it.  Trump was a siphon for the DEMS to stop conservatism.

I'm still curious about that phone call Trump was said to have with Bill Clinton prior to running. I suspect Bill miscalculated that Trump's wrecking ball would pass beyond the Republican party...
